Meet Our Staff:
Debbie Hollandsworth
President and Founder
Debbie has been active in the tax and accounting fields for the past 23 years. She joined a small accounting firm on the southside, eventually taking over as owner in 2006. Over the next 13 years Debbie grew the firm, assisting individuals, small and medium sized businesses in Fayette and surrounding areas with their tax, accounting, bookkeepping, and payroll needs. In 2019 Debbie accepted an offer to sell the practice and assist with the transition. Never one to sit still, Debbie started a new firm in downtown Newnan in 2020 to continue to offer the high level of service to our new clients. In late 2022 she opened a second office in Peachtree City, GA.
A graduate of Clayton State University with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, she stays up-to-date with continuing education courses, including annual seminars from the University of Georgia and recognized by the IRS. Debbie is also pursuing her Enrolled Agent license from the IRS, allowing her to represent clients before the IRS for all tax issues.
In her less-than-copious spare time she loves babysitting her granddaughters, reading, assorted crafts and assembling Legos.
Natasha Menko
Office Manager
Natasha recently returned to working part-time with Debbie as the office manager, ensuring all aspects of the office run smoothly. Natasha loves animals and volunteers where possible. She also enjoys travel - especially Amsterdam!
Emily McLaughlin
Bookkeeper
Emily rejoined Debbie at Barefoot Accounting, assisting Debbie with general bookkeepping and payroll tasks. Prior to Barefoot Accounting, she worked at a CPA firm in Cobb county for two years as a bookkeeper. Emily is also a licenced Emergency Medical Technician - Advanced, having also worked with Grady Health Systems.
Emily enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, cooking and crafts.
Roger Hollandsworth
Accountant & Tech Support
Roger is the part-time tax and technical support staff member (and Debbie husband). Roger has assisted Debbie since her initial ownership of her prior accounting firm and is completing his master's degree in accounting and finance. He's also responsible for all technology in the firm. Roger retired from Delta Air Lines after more than 30 years in the information technology field. He recently returned to work as a consultant for a global, Dutch-based airline alliance. Roger is also pursuing his Enrolled Agent license from the IRS.
Like Debbie, Roger loves spending time with his granddaughters (and the rest of his family). When not otherwise occupied you're likely to find him gardening, woodworking, or reading the latest fiction.
